Moth - Acronicta thoracica

Moth - Acronicta thoracica
Miller Canyon, Huachuca Mountains, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
September 13, 2009
Size: 2.1 cm
Elevation 5,000. ft.
Oak-Juniper Woodland.

Moved from Dagger Moths.

Moved from Moths.

Probably 9230 - Acronicta thoracica
caveat: I have not seen an example of 9232 - Acronicta atristrigata, which supposedly also occurs in the area, thus cannot rule it out at this time. 9230 is probably safe. (no rsvp, thanks)

Something in the genus
Acronicta, see , but we don't know what you have out there.
