Crane fly or mosquito? - Limonia annulata

Crane fly or mosquito? - Limonia annulata
Franklin, Oakland County, Michigan, USA
September 13, 2009
I thought it was a mosquito but on looking through the lens, I think it might be another crane fly. The stripes on its legs match its wings. Not the usual size crane fly I'm used to seeing. What do I have here?
