Explanation of Names
Vostox apicedentatus (Caudell 1904)
apicedentatus = 'toothed at tip' (refers to the distinctive feature of the male's forceps)
Identification
The female is almost impossible to tell from females of other Vostox spp.
The male can be identified by a single tooth on the inside edge of the forceps near the tip.

Deserts; mostly in rotting cacti (one of the few places that keep moist for very long in the desert)
