Parasitic insect attacking four Kaffir Lime trees I have - Icerya purchasi
Myrtle Beach, SC, Horry County, South Carolina, USA
September 16, 2009
Size: 1/4" to nearly 1/2"
These things seem to be sucking the life out of my wife's Kaffir Lime trees. They attach along twigs and stems, and eventually, cause the leaves attached to the twig to dry up and fall off. They are soft, and when you squish them between your fingers, leave an orange smudge.
