Yellow-greenish larva - Pyramidobela angelarum

Yellow-greenish larva - Pyramidobela angelarum
Alameda County, California, USA
September 17, 2009
Size: ~1/4 in. (6 mm)
This larva from a buddleia in the garden has the same markings as the larvae in captivity, such as , but has enough color to be called yellow-greenish. All others I've seen were white.

The color seems to come from the larva's insides. Possibly the appearance of color depends on the recency of a molt?
