Have to wonder what happened to the mantis, if it just died there. Looks fairly fresh.

I think the centipede killed the mantis. They were seen first up in a yucca in a precarious position but they dropped down to the ground.

That's fascinating. I guess the centipede managed to envenomate the mantis. I'm surprised the mantis didn't get it first.
