larva - Cycloneda munda

larva - Cycloneda munda
Cross Plains, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
September 11, 2009

Moved from Cycloneda.

* Sorry, wrong place.

Cycloneda - two possibilities
Definitely not C. s*anguinea, shape and color of markings don't match. The larval key doesn't go into detail on early instars, alas. Has to be either C. polita or C. munda - do you have both in your area?

I have found a lot of C. munda in the area. C. polita looks like it is found mainly in the western US.
