Found this sequestered in an Evening Primrose plant. I thought it might be some kind of egg case but it looks like it has legs and maybe even an eye is showing. I am clueless, as usual.

Cottony Cushion Scale--not exactly what you want in your garden, but wondrous little things none-the-less!

Thanks! It does match the other photos in the Guide. I just read the Info sheet on this Australian introduced pest. I returned it to the plant it was on! Tomorrow morning I go looking for it........
