Unknown skipper species - Euphyes vestris

Unknown skipper species - Euphyes vestris
Epping, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA
July 28, 2009
Size: Small, about 2 cm long.
I think this may be a grass skipper possibly Ocola skipper (Panoquina ocola) http://bugguide.net/node/view/3052.

This skipper is brown with a slight purple sheen. There are not a lot of markings on the wings except for a few small white marks on the upper forewings, with the largest mark somewhat V-shaped.

Attracted to backdoor light after heavy rains. Wooded lot mixed deciduous/coniferous with a river nearby.

Can someone tell me which genus/species this is? Thanks.

Euphyes vestris
This is a female Euphyes vestris (Dun Skipper).

The plain venter (ventral hindwing) is key, and the spot pattern on top is unique to female Duns. Fresh individuals often show a purplish sheen.
