Possibly 10867 - Euxoa wilsoni (how apt!)
In MONA Fascicle 27.2 (Lafontaine, 1987), two of three specimens of 10868 - Euxoa riversii (southern California) are shown that have an overall pale coloration and with spots as in your specimen. A more typical ? dark form is also shown. In the text it is referred to as a southern form or counterpart of 10867 - Euxoa wilsoni (only photo shown is a dark form) that is found in your area.

For now cf. E. wilsoni
I will refer on a tenative basis to E. wilsoni. It would be nice to have a picture of the light form with the dark reniform and orbital spots. I have a darker form also.

Thanks again Bob.

btw... put up some additional Eupithecia in the 4x3 format. Sorry about that again

Dick

Thanks Bob
E. wilsoni was also a suggestion of Lars Carbo although not totally certain I have several more of this type and others which seem to grade up to the more normal form we see in Euxoa. All should have a DNA profile down the road as they have been submitted for testing.

I will redo the photo sizes ... I forgot you might want to use them. If you have the ones now modified I will continue with submissions from here out. More species of Eupithecia to post including E. mutata.
