Pogonioefferia pogonias - Efferia pogonias - male

Pogonioefferia pogonias - Efferia pogonias - Male
Mayflower, Camp Robinson WDA, Faulkner County, Arkansas, USA
September 29, 2005
Size: 28mm
This is the male of Pogonioefferia [Efferia] pogonias. A fall and late summer Efferia species in the east. Last Efferia in my area. Note the two bright white segments after the dark abdomen and the prominent genitalic bulb. Dark brownish and creams overall. These tend to stay near rocky open wooded areas. Sometimes the most abundant robber in October in some areas.
