both words - a Bee Fly, Exoprosopa maybe
Looks a bit like this one, but I'm not sure if it's a match. I think the genus matches at any rate, Exoprosopa, unless there's something else that looks really similar.

You're right, this is Exoprosopa. It could be the species you pictured, but I think it is E. fasciata.
