Moved
Moved from Hogna. I think that makes perfect sense. The description matches and it was found with a female. Thanks.

Moved
Moved from Spiders. I think this ID is correct, but I'm still working on these.

wonder if this could be Hogna permunda
Hogna permunda because the lenta I found in Florida look nothing like this wolf spider. There are no records for lenta in Ohio, Illinois , or Indiana as well.

Not sure
I did look at the image, and it wasn't an exact match, but that doesn't mean much considering variation in spider habitus. The ventral view should help. We should revisit the PDF and read the description to see what it says.

Moved from ID Request.

I'm loving the new Hogna shots
especially since you are providing the ventral views. Will you consider filling out your account page to let others know of your background/interest in this field? Thanks!

Also, since we are in dire need of help with the wolf spiders... could you also provide a description of how you know or think your spider is a certain species (much like you did for the Hogna baltimoriana)?

When you do get an ID, you can move to the guide pages by following the instructions here. If you need additional help, just let me know. Please always wait for someone to agree with your ID before moving to a species guide page.
