Jumper - Eris militaris

Jumper - Eris militaris
Newton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
September 23, 2009
Size: 4 mm (approx.)
On a trail in woods. It was on me for a while. I don't know if I caught its strand of silk by accident or if it intentionally jumped onto me.

Moved
Moved from Jumping Spiders.Even better! I am comfortable calling this guy an Eris now. Face view shows no white on the clypeus which makes this E. militaris.

Probably
a male Eris/Pelegrina. The reflection of the flash on the carapace makes it hard to see if there is a white patch there.

White spot present
I added another picture showing a white spot.
