Numbers
Hydropionea has two species in America north of Mexico.

Forewing length 12-15 mm.
(2)Identification
Hindwing is glossy white with a rust colored line along the base of the fringe.

Range
Southern Arizona to Durango, Mexico.

Habitat
Mountain regions of southern Arizona and in the pine forests above 8500' in Mexico.

Adults have been recorded mostly from May through October.
