Mystery Spider - Araneus gemmoides

Mystery Spider - Araneus gemmoides
Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado, USA
September 24, 2009
Size: apx. 1.5 in.
I got more pictures of the "Mystery Spider". This time, I gently coaxed the animal out of its little niche in the corner by nudging it with a toothpick. It was pretty upset and bit my toothpick quite hard! I'm just glad it wasn't my finger... XD I also cropped and enhanced the pic a bit to better see its coloring.
