Tortoise beetle pupa? - Isa textula

This was found stuck to the underside of a dead leaf. It did not move, and appeared to be firmly attached to the leaf. Could this be a tortoise beetle pupa? How would one tell the difference between the larval and pupal stages of these beetles?

it looks alot like one of the slug caterpillars, Isa textula, the crowned slug. I looked it up in david wagner's new "caterpiilars of eastern north america" ( great book!)
