Poduromorpha IMG_1713 - Hypogastrura
Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, USA
September 27, 2009
Size: ~1 mm
Tiny springtail (autumn snow flea?). Hundreds on the side of a damp tree this evening on a street in Brooklyn, NY, feeding in and around lichen. The mushroom may be the fruit of the lichen, not sure. The mushroom caps were less that 1/4" in diameter.

Edit: I think the mushroom is Mycena corticola.

Moved

Hypogastrura sp.
