Please get help if necessary to learn how to crop around a subject (the moth) in your HUGE original photograph to produce a suitable photo for posting here. Photos should not exceed 560x560 pixels, the maximum display size at BugGuide.

I cropped your original photo (2,560 x 1,920 pixels, 1,065,331 bytes) to 400 x 400 pixels (45,624 bytes). The moth now appears about 10 time larger here while the photo takes up about 1/23 the space. 23 similar photos could be stored on this server in the space taken up by the huge photo.

Also, everything about BugGuide would work faster, and at less cost to Iowa State Univ., if the guidelines on photo sizes were observed by everyone.

Thanks for your understanding and your help. If you are able to resize your photographs you can post new versions of them right over the large photos that have been already posted.

 
i dont know how to make the size smaller...
all i have to do is crop?
