Walking Stick - Diapheromera femorata - male

Walking Stick - Diapheromera femorata - Male
Bella Vista, Arkansas, USA
October 1, 2005
Size: 8 inches

Moved
Moved from Diapheromera.

The photo is too fuzzy to tell for sure,
but another possibility is Manomera blatchleyi.

Diapheromera
The stickinsect on the pic is definately a male of the Diapheromera femorata.

Rob

More shots?
Hi, Steph:-) Any more shots of this guy (it is a male)? Might be the giant walkingstick rather than the northern walkingstick, but I'd be more sure if I had other images to look at.

GIANT STICK
Have you seen dentriticus in this color phase? a shot of the genitalia or of the leg spines might help but I bet this is femorata
