Pupa - Pyramidobela angelarum

Pupa - Pyramidobela angelarum
Alameda County, California, USA
September 29, 2009
Size: ~0.4 in. (10 mm)
In rolled edge of dried buddleia leaf lying on soil in rearing enclosure. Leaf edges are held apart just enough to show that a pupa is present.

This must be a pupa of the same species as the larvae and adults in previous photos. It's about the same length as the adults, and some buddleia stalks added to the enclosure from time to time as food had tied leaves and rolled-up leaves, as the initial samples did.
