ID
This is Dipalta, (Anthracinae: Villini).

Only two species?
Is it true that there are only two species of Dipalta? I did read your bio and you seem like the perfect person to ask. And thank you for the ID!

Species #
The World Catalog lists D. banksi from Ohio and Virginia (a suspect distribution)and D. serpentina from everywhere else in NA. I suspect that banksi is a synonym of serpentina, but I have not seen specimens of the former.
