Omnivorous Looper caterpillar - Sabulodes aegrotata

Omnivorous Looper caterpillar - Sabulodes aegrotata
Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington, USA
September 30, 2009
I believe this might be the Omnivorous Looper - Sabulodes aegrotata. It matches fairly well to the image on page 151 of Lepidoptera of the Pacific Northwest: Caterpillars and Adults. This individual was found on concrete, but there is plenty of Red Alder there. I also have photographed adults in the immediate area.

There is a caterpiller online that matches the image on page 151 a little better than mine as far as coloring. However, my guide specifically states that there is a pair of black spots near the top of the head capsule. See online image that is missing those two head spots here. Maybe we're both wrong?
