WOW--Great record for NY, Rich
I have heard of one other modern record, i.e. last 50 years or so (from S.I.) and I don't believe it was documented with a photo or specimen. It looks very fresh and makes me wonder if this could be the offspring of a female that got up here and used Canna Lily for a food plant to lay eggs on. Jeff Ingraham had a series of very old specimens reared from Long Island but they were pretty badly damaged by dermestids by the time he got them. I assume they are now in Eric Quinter's possession, as Jeff gave him his collection before moving to the tropics.
