I've been stewing over this fellow for a while
He seems to fit descriptions of M. alabamae better than M. walshii (ie. shape of cerci, minute furculae, coloring, etc.), but the tegmina from this more northern area average a bit on the short side. The two "species" are very similar, and I think are closely related. I suspect that these northern Alabama specimens may actually be intermediate (but leaning more toward M. alabamae).

When you first posted these, I don't think the idea of them perhaps being M. alabamae was considered.
