Monarch - Danaus plexippus - caterpillar - Danaus plexippus

Size: approx. 50 mm long
I was very surprised to find that there were no photos of Monarch caterpillars yet! Apologies if my search gave incomplete results though.
Anyway, here is one on a milkweed leaf. Its head is on the right.

There are several -
on our image page here - which a site search for Monarch should have turned up. I can only think you have your viewing option set to show only adults -you might check on that.
BTW you can post images direct to the correct page, rather than ID Request, when you know what they are - it saves someone (you or an editor) having to move them later.
