Not sure there's enough to get an ID for this one since dew blocks view. Appreciate any thoughts.

Moved
Moved from Frass.

Brian, you bring up a good point -- the Honey Bee section is in great need of some selective editing. I'll try to find some time soon to do an overview of which images offer something unique and which ones are unnecessary or of poor quality. I'm OK with putting this one back in the guide for now, though it may only be temporary...

Thanks...
...Harsi!

No rush, I was just impressed by this photo and thought it might be an interesting addition to the section.

Agree with Andrew's assessment that this is a honey bee (Apis mellifera). An attractive and interesting photo, but probably not particularly useful from an identification standpoint. Removing this one from the guide and sending to Frass. Fred, if you have any questions regarding this move, please let me know!

Requesting non-frassing
Hi Harsi and Fred,

Considering there are already multiple hundreds of photos of the Apis mellifera (many of which are near-duplicates and much lower quality than this photo -- which is also an interesting shot), can we de-frass this photo?

Just realizing that "A Bug's Life" is a pun on "A Thug's Life",
B

Thanks
That's fine. Appreciate the ID.

looks like a soggy Honeybee
to me.
