Blueberry Catepillar - Schizura ipomaeae

Blueberry Catepillar - Schizura ipomaeae
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
On blueberry plant in residential garden, summer 1995. I always wanted to know what this was, never seen another in 15 years of growing blueberries. While i ran indoors to get a jar to raise it in, it totally disappeared! Must have been a bird found it, I scoured the plants and ground thoroughly but could never locate it.
