Nice natural shots
I'm no expert so can't confirm the species. Just wanted to say thanks for these unposed photos of an active
Parancistrocerus
. The few Parancistrocerus I've seen were pinned. That acarinarium, even without a visible load of hypopi, still jumps right out in the live specimen, doesn't it? (If you put a gun to my head, I'd bet this guy's T1, hidden behind the wings in your first photo of the set, would be flat-topped and would fit with everything else

-like about him. I guess he would be at the western edge of his range in your latitude?)

It is likely P. pedestris but there are a few other species that are very similar.
