Arizona Viceroy (Limenitis archippus obsoleta) - Limenitis archippus St. George, Washington County, Utah, USA October 5, 2009
I searched for an hour to find a monarch-type butterfly with white markings on all four sections of the wings. I finally went back to Butterflies through Binoculars and found the statement on the Viceroy that said that the black HW postmedian band is often replaced with white in the Southwest. There's no place for it in the guide but I think it's Limentis archippus obsoleta.
