Dogwood Sawfly (Macremphytus tarsatus) - Macremphytus testaceus

Dogwood Sawfly (Macremphytus tarsatus) - Macremphytus testaceus
Uniontown, Summit County, Ohio, USA
September 27, 2009
Size: 1 1/4"
After learning that my yellow "caterpillar" was a dogwood sawfly larva, I went out to our dogwood tree to see if any of the white instars were still there. I had seen them a couple days before, but didn't make the connection between the white larvae and the yellow one.
