Identification
Traits that have been quoted as helping to distinguish this species from Eremopedes ephippiatus include yellow coloring ventrally, smaller size, pale veins on adult male tegmina, occurence at a higher elevation, and "longer" male cerci; however, none seems to be fully reliable, and they have to be used in combination. It seems likely that these are variants of one species (???).
