Notiophilus aquaticus
based on my microscopic examination of this male specimen which is now a photo-voucher in the P.W.Messer collection. I may still want to dissect out the aedeagus to strengthen the separation from externally similar N. borealis. Tim, is the glue you use for point mounting soluble in warm water in case I want to dissect? Thanks Tim.

Sorry for the late reply...
The glue should be soluble in warm water, probably not in alcohol.
