revisited
This rather plain noctuid has had me stumped for a while now, but after having run into what I believe to be another one recently, I have done some more research into this moth's ID. Firstly, I believe this may be the same species as this moth which I photographed in July. I think this moth belongs somewhere in the tribe Eriopygini within the Hadeninae, but beyond that I don't have much too go by. However, the genus Anhimella seems to be a good match, specifically Anhimella pacifica. Granted, I can only find one image of this species on the internet, which is Jim Vargo's spread specimen on MPG, and I can't seem to find any other info regarding the species' range. If anybody else would like to offer their thoughts, here is the link to Jim Vargo's photo.

Though if I am correct in assessing that this is the same species as the one I recently found, then DNA will soon unravel this mystery.
