With the most recent revision to the genus, T. pennator and T. vulpinus won't be distinguishable without a larger photo. Notes on separating the two have been added to both of their species pages.

Yes, yes, don't know.
This is an ichneumon wasp in the genus Trogus. I seem to recall there is only one species in the genus in eastern North America....
