This little spider came to my lights, possibly looking for a future meal. I don't usually photograph non-insect arthropods, but i thought this little one was quite interesting.

You are right, this is an interesting spider: Mimetus. They eat other spiders and specialize in taking the small cobweb spiders, I believe.

Hi Kevin, Thanks for the ID. It's always good to have arachnologists around! :) Now i feel sorry for not collecting it, especially considering the large number of undescribed species... And thanks for the compliment, you are dead-on, it is Romanian, although "Marius" is more palearctic in its distribution. "Mario" is a modern derivation of this Latin name.
