The larger specimens seen here are about 0.5 inches in length. They are on a Spiny Pod seed pod.

Interesting photo, but these aren't aphids, which can often be identified by their "tail pipes".
What you have here are bug nymphs (immatures) of various stages and ages. Someone more astute than I may be able to tell you more.
