That diagram confuses me
"Fore femur with median grooves on anterior surface into which tibia fits" seems to describe the grooves that are plainly visible here:
but in the diagram in the key, the groove shown seems to be on the wrong side of the femur from the way the tibia is curving. Am I looking at this wrong?
I've just added two (unfortunately low-quality) photos of my specimen that seem to me to show the grooves, which would mean not
griseus
.
