Hesperapis - Hesperapis - male

Hesperapis - Hesperapis - Male
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, San Diego County, California, USA
March 16, 2003
Size: BL~8 mm
This bee is sleeping cradled in a Pygmy Gold-poppy (Eschscholzia minutiflora) in Borrego Palm Canyon. Again, I suspect an Hesperapis because of the long basitarsis.
