Hi Butch , I'm curious to know what this Bug is as well .
This is the 3rd time I have come across this bug on Althea plants and so far no one has given an ID.
Watching .. Waiting..

Pests on Althea bushes
I found a web site about Althea Bushes and they had a photo exactly like the one posted on my question in Facebook. I believe the scentless bugs are a young group of just hatched? They just don’t have their color yet. Like the photo posted above. Now I need to find how to destroy the bugs before they, or I, destroy my Althea’s.

Niesthrea louisianica
I'm quite certain these are Niesthrea louisianica nymphs. I became familiar with this species when studying how they are being used as possible control of the weed velvetleaf. Very interesting study. ~

I wonder....
I wonder if these are not the nymphs of a scentless plant bug in the genus Niesthrea. I'm going to put them there for now, hoping a real expert will be able to confirm or deny.
