They make their webs on scrub oaks and saw palmettos. They are found in the xeric habitat. Females often have multiple egg sacs in their retreats.

to see them in a wild setting finally. i bred these for years trying to keep a supply of males on hand. when i did arachnid exibits for our local wildlife museums fall feativle id put a mature male in with a female as the public started comming in and they would draw a decient crowd.
