Size: Spider 14mm; Case 20mm
A protective mother; she sat with her legs touching her egg sac at all times. She eventually walked away from it when she died.

on these. This one is my favorite. I've always thought these egg cases look very similar to a coccoon.

They really do look and feel like a cocoon, too. I bet they get confused for them pretty often.

Just thought of something
Were you hinting to me that the proper term for this type of egg sac is 'cocoon'? lol. Just curious because the more I think about it, the better 'cocoon' sounds. What do you think?
