Identification
Adult - similar to
Curve-lined Angle (
Digrammia continuata) but occurs farther west and usually has a straighter PM line on forewing.
Range
California east to Texas and Oklahoma, north to Colorado and Washington.
Season
Adults fly from March to September in California.

Larvae feed on
California Juniper (
Juniperus californica) and presumably other species of juniper in the northern and eastern parts of its range where
J. californica is not present.
Remarks
This species forms a complex with
D. continuata and
D. setonana and adults are best identified by dissection.
(1)See Also
D. continuata is similar but apparently doesn't occur west of Texas. Also similar to other
Digrammia species such as
atrofasciata (which occurs in Texas and Oklahoma) and
pallorata (described in 2008 by Ferguson, and has a wavier PM line);
compare images of these and other related species by Jim Vargo at MPG.
