Histerid - Ulkeus

Histerid - Ulkeus
Organ Mountains foothills, Dona Ana County, New Mexico, USA
September 8, 2009
Size: just over 1mm
Collected at blacklight. Not many people (even entomologists) get excited when tiny brown specks show up on the sheet. I was ecstatic!

This was collected probably about a mile or so from where Jim collected his. Thanks for the excellent directions you provided Jim.

All pics taken with automontage system. Actual montaging done with CombineZP.

Thanks.

The real punks are further down south. Some of the South American myrmecophiles actually have what look to be mohawks on their heads.
