Ole Blue-eyes
I think (!) the blue eyes are distinctive for
Orchelimum pulchellum
, as opposed to
agile
. Also, I see the turquoise along the edge of the wing, also characteristic of
pulchellum
.
If you have any better information, please let me know--these things are tricky.

Ole Blue-eyes is probably correct
I think you're right, Orchelimum pulchellum looks more like it. If you're confident that's what it is I'll correct it. In the mean time I'll remove the "agile" part. There's so much to learn! Whatever the katydid's identity is (I'm sure you're correct), it's certainly attractive, or should I say, handsome. Thanks.
