Definitely Phidippus audax.
Definitely Phidippus audax. I'd say it's probably a female. Male and female are identical when immature.

Immature?
So this one is not an adult? How do you tell?

Sorry, that was a little confusing
I know this is not an adult or subadult male.

Based on its appearance (darkened palps, well-defined markings) and my experience with this species, I suspect it is old enough to not be considered an immature specimen.

That leads me to suspect, very highly, that this is an adult or subadult female.

My comments here and here might be helpful.

Thanks for all your help, Jay --
I assumed she was an adult because she's as big a jumper as we see.
