true bug nymph 1? - Piezogaster
Yellow Springs (John Bryant State Park), Ohio, USA
August 22, 2009
Size: under 1 inch
I am also going to post a different individual, which may or may not be the same species so I won't be linking the two photos.

From looking through the guide, the closest image I could find were Piezogaster nymphs but I want to be more sure about them.

Found at the border between forested and field areas.

Pretty sure.
Great image! I'm pretty sure that is what it is. I collected many specimens of adults in Cincinnati when I lived there....Host plant can help you in these cases, too. Most of the adults I found were on thistle if I recall correctly. Something spinier than the insects themselves, anyway. LOL!
