Bumblebees on thistle - Bombus citrinus - male

Bumblebees on thistle - Bombus citrinus - Male
Pelham, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
I'm not sure if these are all the same species, but the ones I can see appear to be a different species from any others I've photographed.

Moved from ID Request.

Bombus citrinus

Might help, I don't know.

I always include it when I have it
I cropped this image five years ago using a program that apparently removes the date and other info from the file--at least I'm unable to see it by hovering the cursor over the thumbnail, as I usually do, or checking the file properties.

if it is included in the file and you hit "preview" after browsing to the file and nothing is already in the date field, BugGuide will fill in the date for you. That is how I do it, blank date field, browse, preview.

But you're right, it probably isn't there unless you always process your files the same day then the modified date would help.
