Explanation of Names
Campoplex Gravenhorst, 1829

Type : Ichneumon difformis Gmelin, 1790
Numbers
a very large genus with 35 spp. north of Mexico(1)

worldwide(2)
Food
Hosts are mostly microlepidoptera which feed in concealment (leaf rolls, cases, buds, etc.)(1)
Life Cycle
As with most Campoplegini, some Campoplex spp. apparently kill their host in its larval stage and spin a cocoon after emerging from the host, but some Campoplex spp. spin the cocoon inside the pupal shell of the host.(1)
