Size: 12 mm
The picture of a leaf-beetle (chrysomelidae) was shot in Newbury, Massachussets, in July. I could not identify the tree(shrub) on which it was sitting. Any Idea for the species? It looks like a False Potato Beetle, but not quite, it seems to me.

Host plant for C. lunata is listed as Rosa. It is possible that the species was just sitting on some other plant.

My only slightly educated guess would be something in the genus Zygogramma or Calligrapha.
